写真と私の関係

私はあまり自分を写真家だと表現することがない。でも写真は他者と自分とを繋いでくれる大切な道具であり、

私に知らない世界を旅する理由を与えるものです。

そして写真はいつも「知っている」という勘違いのことを教えてくれるのです。

街から、音楽から、畑から。作り出した後のものでなく、何かになる前の姿を写真と一緒に追っていきたい。

それらは時にカタチとなり、またこれから続いていく人の和になるかもしれません。

この写真たちは、私を取り巻く周囲の状態や世界との関係図のようなものです。

My Relationship With Photographs

I do not often describe myself as a “photographer.” But, photographs are an important tool used to connect myself with other people and they provide me with a reason to travel into worlds I am unfamiliar with.

Photographs are also a constant reminder that I do not actually know everything.

Be it from cities, from music, or from fields of crops, I want to capture the shape of things in my photographs before they are created, not after they are already complete.

Those things take form with time and may act as a type of harmony for those who continue on with them.

These photographs show the relationships between the state of things and the world that surrounds me and myself.

BIO

2010年の冬より一年間滞在したスウェーデンにて、写真を撮る行為に心を救われ、写真へ恩返しがしたいと思う。

Photography saved my soul while I lived in Sweden from the winter of 2010. I want to show my gratitude and share the moments that moved my soul.
